Shortly after solving the horrific Mutilator serial killer case, Thomas Mecana and Darcie Connors are on the trail of a new suspect.
On opening day of their new private investigation firm, the two detectives meet one Candy Kane - an affluent Texas socialite who offers them a small fortune in exchange for protection.

John L. Lansdale was born and raised in East Texas. He is a retired Army reserve Psychological Operations Officer and a combat veteran with numerous medals and awards.
